4-H VOLUNTEERS
- 4-H volunteers share their knowledge with young people, offering youth in their communities hands-on skills in a wide array of projects, including animal, plant, food, and nutrition projects, as well as graphic arts, rocketry, forestry, photography, bicycles, and much more. MASTER GARDENER VOLUNTEERS
- Master Gardener Volunteers take an intensive training program in all aspects of gardening, then give their time teaching others, especially in low-income areas. Master Gardeners offer workshops at community gardens, answer questions on our Help Line, and much more. MASTER FOOD PRESERVER
- The Master Food Preserver (MFP) Program extends Cooperative Extension's research-based knowledge on the scientific methods of preserving food at home safely while maintaining optimum quality. Certified Master Food Preserver volunteers diagnose problems and answer questions regarding methods of preserving food at home safely. An MFP Volunteer provides assistance to the general public by telephone or in person at farmers' markets, county festivals, and other community events. MFP Volunteers also conduct monthly public demonstration workshops. The Master Food Preservers offer public classes to teach the art and science of all phases of preserving food safely at home.
